Role Description The Manufacturing Engineering Tech 3 is a full-time, on‑site role based in Richmond, BC. This role supports manufacturing operations by building, assembling, and testing products and subassemblies according to engineering specifications and production schedules. Responsibilities include setting up and operating manufacturing equipment, performing hands‑on tasks such as soldering and basic machining, and troubleshooting issues on the production floor to maintain quality and throughput. The Manufacturing Engineering Tech 3 collaborates closely with engineers and production teams to implement process improvements, document procedures, and supportnew product introductions. The role also involves maintaining a safe work environment, following standardized work instructions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in quality, cost, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering and familiarity with manufacturing processes, including assembly workflows and process documentation.
Hands‑on experience with troubleshooting production and equipment issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Proficiency in soldering and basic machining, with the ability to work from technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Understanding of manufacturing process control, quality standards, and use of basic measurement and test equipment.
Certificate, diploma, or equivalent technical training in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing technology, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, follow standardized procedures, and maintain accurate production and test records.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff.
Experience in a high‑tech or semiconductor‑related manufacturing environment is an asset, as is familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
