Maintenance Technician Part-Time, Richmond

We are looking for an experienced 4th Class Power Engineer (5th class will be considered depending on experience) who is an energetic, team player. This opportunity is great for someone who wants to expand their knowledge in the maintenance field. Our plant has a variety of equipment that a maintenance technician will benefit from to grow their maintenance knowledge/career. Gate Gourmet has been designated as a millwright apprentice facility; hours canbe accumulated towards millwright hours.Key Responsibilities

Carrying out general repairs as required within and on the exterior of the facility Carrying out repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, motor controls, pump seals and motor bearings Welding and fabricating preventative maintenance Monitoring and maintaining two high pressure boilers and two low pressure boilersGeneral upkeep of the facility in a 24/7 steam&refrigeration plant Troubleshoot and repair industrial kitchen equipment Qualifications

Must have a 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate Minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance technician working on electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, commercial kitchen equipment, troubleshooting electrical faults and motor controls Position: Hands‑on Part‑Time with shift work in a 24/7 unionized plant.Rate of Pay: CA$36.90 per hour.
