Demi Chef De Partie– Asian Cuisine River Rock Casino Resort is looking for an energetic and passionate Demi Chef De Partie to join our team under the supervision of the Sous Chef. The role focuses on the production and execution of Chinese menu items while maintaining company standards, safety, hygiene, and a welcoming work environment.
Responsibilities
Prep, cook and present menu items following standardized recipes to high quality standards.
Prepare checklists and produce a variety of foods, garnishes, sauces for high-volume production.
Assist Commis Chefs with product receiving, breaking down, storage, and rotation.
Clean culinary equipment after use according to health and safety policies.
Assist with month-end inventories as directed.
Takes orders at the counter providing outstanding service to guests.
Attend monthly culinary meetings.
Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments.
Develop strong working relationships with guests, ownership, and employees.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including evenings, graveyards, and weekends on a 24/7 schedule.
Minimum 2 years culinary experience in Chinese cuisine; wok experience considered an asset.
High School Diploma.
Culinary education in authentic Asian cuisine a plus.
Level 1 FoodSafe or Safe Food Handling or BASICS.fst Food Handler certificate.
Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, service-oriented communication.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese considered an asset.
Ability to obtain a criminal background check.
Willingness to learn, develop, and achieve new skills.
