Location Weldon School, located in the community of Bienfait, SK

Term Start Date: September 2, 2026 End Date: June 11, 2027

Tenure Temporary

Hours of Work Equivalent to 6.4 hours per day student days

Duties

Lifting– Ability to lift up to 60 pounds without a lift and up to 120 pounds with a 2‑man lift or mechanical lift

Transport students (personal vehicle may be required for transport)

Attend to personal hygiene and medical needs as required

Prepare and plan student‑based life skills and academic programming under direction of teacher

Focus on successfully transitioning the student to work with other students and adults

Focus on behaviour and safety plans created specifically for students as required

Supervision of intensive‑need student(s) as well as small groups of students as required

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 diploma from an institution recognized by the Board of Education

Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and be flexible

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member

Valid driver’s license

Demonstrated knowledge of school computer software such as word processing and computer‑assisted learning software

An educational assistant or equivalent diploma, NVCI, First Aid, Autism and Behavioral educational background will be considered assets

Salary&Benefits Salary and benefits are in accordance with the currently negotiated SEIU‑West Collective Agreement as listed on our website. The starting wage for this position is currently $21.93/hour along with a full benefit package and an employer‑defined pension plan.
