Job Overview

At Interpro Recycling, the Processor reports to the Operations Manager and plays a crucial role in the vehicle processing operation. The position involves draining various fluids from cars to ensure safety and environmental compliance, as well as efficiently removing non-ferrous materials such as aluminum and copper.Responsibilities

Drain automobile fluids such as gasoline and antifreeze to facilitate processing of vehicles Remove the catalytic converter from vehicles as needed Remove tires and rims from vehicles Keeps the work area clean Observes and follows all safety rules and regulations Perform other duties as assignedWork with a variety of vehicles, employing attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to facilitate an organized and effective processing system Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent No prior experience required, but experience in a manufacturing, production, or similar scrap yard/auto part environment is an asset Must have a Class 5 driver's license to operate yard vehicle Knowledge of automotive components is an asset Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the dayWilling and able to work in variable weather conditions, including hot, dry summer and cold, harsh winter conditions Willing and able to work in an environment with fluctuations in dust, odors, fumes, and noise Organized and able to prioritize competing priorities Strong communication skills– communicates clearly and concisely verbally, over mobile radio, and in writingPolite and friendly with a customer service orientation Strong work ethic– uses time efficiently Can work with minimal supervision/general oversight Reliable transportation to and from work (remote location, not accessible by bus) Benefits
