Overview Ledcor Highways Ltd. is seeking experienced highway maintenance professionals to support Forepersons and highway maintenance crews. The role focuses on heavy equipment operation, organization, safety, and leadership to ensure the safety of the traveling public and successful project delivery.

Essential Responsibilities Assist leadership with daily tasks including safety toolbox meetings, equipment inspection, and road condition inspection reports Support Foreperson in the planning of work to meet contractual milestones Monitor the quality of work performed by the crew Operate equipment on work sites as neededHelp ensure health, safety, and environment related concerns are addressed promptly
Qualifications Valid Class 1 or 3 driver\'s license with air endorsement and a clear 3-year driver\'s abstract Previous supervisory experience in highway maintenance, road construction, bridges or related field is required Snow plow experience is preferred Strong understanding of provincial and/or municipal highway maintenance specificationsProfessional written and verbal communication skills Computer skills are an asset Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiogram testing
Work Conditions Local candidates will be given preference due to the location of the work Will be required to work shifts, on-call, and nights as necessary Benefits provided by CLAC Work will be outdoors in various weather conditions
Rates&Premiums Base hourly rate of $33.75 Premiums starting at $8/hour when performing winter maintenance operations Operators may receive a premium up to $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
