St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a full-time temporary Educational Assistant position at St. Augustine School in Ponoka, Alberta, beginning September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will offer academic and social support for individual students or students in small and large groups.Preferred candidates will have experience working with students with exceptional abilities and/or medical needs, an understanding of Indigenous Learning, Response to Intervention, strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills, an optimistic attitude and a willingness to be flexible with duties in a Kindergarten to Grade 12 workplace, which would be considered an asset.Employment is conditional upon the submission of a recent (within six months) Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a recent (within six months) Alberta Children’s Intervention Record Check. Catholicity is not a requirement; it is considered an asset.
