Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager role located in Red Deer, AB. The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring store standards are met. This role assists in leading, coaching, and motivating the sales team to achieve sales targets, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain a welcoming store environment. The Assistant Manager helps with scheduling, training new team members, monitoring performance, and providing feedback. Additional responsibilities include visual merchandising, inventory management, loss prevention practices, and supporting in-store promotions and brand initiatives.
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail or customer-facing roles, preferably in apparel, footwear, or lifestyle brands.
Strong leadership abilities, including mentoring, coaching, and supporting a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Solid customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, handle concerns, and drive positive shopping experiences.
Organizational and time-management skills to manage priorities such as scheduling, inventory tasks, and daily operations.
Comfort with basic point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and reporting; familiarity with inventory processes is an asset.
Ability to work on-site with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to team and customer interactions.
Previous supervisory or keyholder experience is preferred; a passion for lifestyle, streetwear, and athletic brands is highly beneficial.
