Responsibilities
Ensure assigned flight operations are conducted with qualified crews in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Confirm all flight crews assigned duties on Bombardier aircraft meet the required standard for the assigned task.
Maintain pilot training records electronically and ensure accessibility on site.
Ensure on‑site pilots meet the requirements and standards for completion and maintenance of BCOM PCC.
Assign pilots operational and training duties and monitor these duties to ensure Bombardier standards and regulatory compliance.
Conduct all flight operations in a safe, legal and expeditious manner.
Assist in the development and maintenance of all related flight operations manuals and documentation.
Document and report all flight safety reports, occurrences and infractions in accordance with the Flight Operations SMS.
Assign a site pilot as Site Safety Pilot and ensure they have sufficient time and support to accomplish their duties effectively.
Forward requests to add aircraft to the TC POR to the Director of Flight Operations.
Qualifications
Hold a valid Canadian ATPL and a Class 1 medical. A US ATP is an asset.
Minimum of 5,000 flight hours, with 1,000 hours PIC on large multi‑engine aircraft.
Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel on short notice.
Previous management experience and 2 years of flight‑test experience.
Significant international experience is an asset.
University degree or strong technical background in certification or training is a definite asset.
Sound knowledge of Canadian Aviation regulations.
Right to work and live in Canada is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to execute the duties of an aircraft commander while maintaining a positive and cooperative relationship with the crew and management.
Ability to manage stressful situations.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
