About Ross Memorial Hospital Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an acute‑care community hospital located in the heart of Kawartha Lakes. Department/Unit/Program Description The Nutrition Services department focuses on patient satisfaction by providing high‑quality, safe, nutritious food and excellent service. We produce food in safe, sanitary conditions and collaborate across departments for best patient care.

Position Summary Nutrition Services is looking for a Temporary Part‑Time Food Production Assistant. Effective Date: as soon as possible. Ending on or before: September 20, 2026.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent

Certificate of Qualification as a Cook or equivalent combination of two years recent experience in large‑quantity food cooking and willingness to be certified

Current Food Handlers Training&Certification and must maintain certification

Demonstrated ability to adjust recipes and follow directions

Knowledge of Portion Control, W.H.M.I.S.–department specific, H.A.C.C.P. (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point)

Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per Physical Demands Analysis

Preferred Qualifications Must be available to work eight (8) and four (4) hour shifts (days/evenings), including weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and CUPE Collective Agreement.
