Fixed Operations Manager Pay Rate: $94,000 - $122,000 per year Glacier Honda

Overview The Fixed Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all service and parts department operations to ensure customer safety and satisfaction, as well as overall departmental success. A key priority is to instill brand/dealership loyalty and ensure a positive customer experience. The manager communicates effectively, listens, and manages the Parts&Service process, focusing on the big picture while maintaining attention to detail and delivering consistent positive results. They uphold the dealership’s standards and values so that the customer is fully satisfied through every interaction with the service department and foster positive relationships with personnel across the dealership.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of dealership parts&service departments, including operational performance, costs, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Direct procurement of all types of company-owned equipment, materials, supplies, and parts required to maintain automotive equipment, garages, and storage facilities.

Assist in problem solving and diagnosing vehicle problems.

Order and maintain service tools as necessary.

Oversee administration of warranty claims.

Oversee hiring, training, supervising, and coaching of service department employees.

Set schedules and assign tasks to service department employees.

Review and analyze actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.

Work with upper management to make parts&service department personnel decisions.

Maintain good working relationships with factory/OEMs.

Maintain effective employee relations and attend Executive Team Meetings as required (e.g., Thursdays at 9:30am to provide operational updates).

Complete required dealership training and stay up-to-date on all training programs.

Possess strong product knowledge and aptitude in technical/mechanical repairs; stay informed about new features and updates.

Deliver excellent service consistently and maintain professional appearance and workspace cleanliness.

Maintain knowledge of industry products, price structures, and major competitors.

Operate effectively as a team member to achieve common goals and multitask as needed.

Manage customer complaints and solve difficult or complex problems.

Maintain strong inventory control and budget management, and demonstrate strong purchasing skills.

Education&Experience

College Diploma or Trade School Certificate in Automotive Studies, or equivalent.

Strong product knowledge and aptitude in technical/mechanical repairs.

Valid Driver’s License for province of employment.

Ideally two (2) years minimum as a Parts&Service Manager.

One (1) year of brand product experience preferred but not required.

Dealership experience is preferred/necessary for this position.
