The Role Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll be a frontline technical expert responsible for keeping our high‑precision manufacturing equipment running at peak performance. You’ll diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues before they become downtime, operate equipment across production and process development cycles, andwork shoulder‑to‑shoulder with engineering teams to continuously raise the bar on how we make things.
This is a role for someone who sees a problem and wants to understand it— not just fix it.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot&repair
mechanical and electrical issues on complex industrial manufacturing equipment— diagnosing root causes, not just symptoms.
Operate and optimize
production equipment across both standard production runs and process development cycles.
Perform preventive maintenance,
cleaning, and preparation to sustain optimal performance and cycle‑time targets.
Own the documentation:
create, maintain, and improve process and quality SOPs with precision and clarity.
Drive continuous improvement
by collaborating with engineering on process enhancements and automation solutions.
Cross‑train across
multiple manufacturing processes to build versatility and team resilience.
Contribute in cross‑functional settings,
bringing your technical perspective to production challenges and opportunities.
What You Bring— Required
Diploma
in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Millwright, or equivalent certification.
3+ years
of hands‑on experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude—
you can read schematics, interpret engineering drawings, and work confidently with industrial systems.
Diagnostic mindset:
proficiency in identifying and resolving machine function issues under pressure.
Chemical safety knowledge:
handling, utilization, and disposal of industrial chemicals (WHMIS/SDS).
Preferred Qualifications— Stand Out Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
— Candidates with LSS certification are strongly preferred. We actively invest in process excellence and value the structured problem‑solving mindset it develops.
Vacuum coating, thin films, or industrial printing
knowledge and experience.
ISO 9000 / quality management systems
experience.
Exposure to precision or security manufacturing environments
(high‑spec tolerances, controlled processes).
Experience with automation or PLC‑based systems
in a production context.
