Manager, Employee Health and Wellness , to lead the development, implementation, and communication of corporate Health and Wellness programs. If you answered yes, then this may be the job for you! Apply today!

What will you be doing!

Managing the design, development and integration of programs, including the development of policies and procedures to ensure continuing suitability and applicability to achieve best practices.

Providing strategic direction in the undertaking of consultations, the determination of needs, the anticipation of requirements, and the development of multi‑year occupational health and wellness program strategies, resource requirements and work plans.

Planning, organizing and coordinating the implementation of the Workers’ Compensation Program.

Ensuring regulatory requirements under the Canada Labour Code (CLC) and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA) are adhered to through policies, procedures, and programs for management and employees.

Designing, developing and implementing communications and marketing strategies to raise awareness of issues, promote program initiatives and facilitate the integration of considerations into CNL operations and decision‑making.

Overseeing the management of incidental absence and short‑term/intermediate‑term disability program, including the absence management, prevention, and return to work strategies, in collaboration with Human Resources.

Obtaining employee feedback on services provided, maintaining statistics, monitoring trends and identifying needs for interventions, further training, etc.

Ensuring effective communication, consultation, and collaboration among occupational health and safety professionals, consultants, workers, management, and unions.

Preparing and managing the Health Centre budget, including the forecasting and control of costs related to contracts and services.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What We Are Looking For

Education

Post‑secondary (undergraduate) degree or diploma in Health Care (e.g., Certified Occupational Health Nurse), or related field.

A Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation would be considered an asset.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of progressive senior‑level experience in an Occupational Health environment.

Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Extensive experience developing and managing disability management, return‑to‑work, medical surveillance, clinical care, emergency response, and wellness programs.

Demonstrated experience in a strategic health care or wellness environment, with a focus on cost‑effectiveness, operational efficiency, and alignment with industry best practices.

Knowledge, Skills&Abilities

Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactually to implement targeted, practical health promotion, wellness, and disability management initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Excellent client service skills with proven experience in building and maintaining relationships at all levels of the organization to ensure service standards are met, and be viewed as a credible subject matter expert in health and wellness.

Well‑developed people skills and experience in the resolution of highly sensitive issues, dealing with conflict, and the application of sound judgement.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify and implement effective, innovative approaches and solutions within established policies.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required

Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions

Working schedule: Five (5) days per week, seven and a half (7.5) hours per day for a thirty‑seven and a half (37.5) hour work week.

Availability to respond to crisis events and extended hours may be required.

Travel may be required.
