Description
Responsibilities

Provide reliable financial information, account reconciliation analysis and operational support related to events, tenants, 3rd-party agreements and other internal management reporting requirements. Support implementation of risk management and internal controls, including assessment and monitoring of their adequacy and compliance with accounting and organizational policies.Ensure integrity of the general ledger; provide timely and accurate month-end support, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and assistance in preparing the year-end audit (notes and working papers). Deliver timely, complete and relevant financial information that supports senior management decision-making; prepare monthly, quarterly and annual schedules and reports, variance analyses on operating expenditures, other income and related schedules.Ensure accurate and timely billings to customers; collaborate with operations to prepare event settlements and analytical reports, including event profitability for events and operational services. Co‑ordinate and attend monthly meetings with third parties to ensure financial compliance, timely collections of receivables and resolution of issues.Ensure completeness and accuracy of 3rd-party billings and perform annual audits of specified procedures to maintain effective controls. Qualifications

Working towards a CPA designation in Canada– candidates who have passed the Common Final Exam are considered an asset. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Three or more years of progressive financial analysis experience. Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Word.Accounting and financial reporting experience in a computerized environment; experience with Great Plains is an asset. Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, IFRS and Public Sector Accounting Standards. Benefits
