Prepare electronic documents in AutoCAD, including sketching, three‑dimensional computer modeling, drawings, and construction documents. Apply relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements; coordinate with the design team to ensure compliance. Interface with engineering teams throughout the design project lifecycle—from preliminary and conceptual engineering to detailed design, implementation, and close‑out—to provide practical and effective solutions.Provide field support through site visits and inspections, ensuring adherence to design intent and quality requirements. Revise existing drawings and 3D models based on detailed verbal or written instructions and marked‑up drawings. Implement field change requests by updating models, drawings, and bill‑of‑materials (BOMs) to reflect construction modifications.Qualifications&Experience

College diploma or equivalent work experience with a minimum of five years in piping/plant layout, mechanical design, and drafting. Experience supporting field teams through site visits and inspections, ensuring alignment with design requirements. Experience drafting site layouts and construction drawings for industrial sites, buildings, and structures.Knowledge of new nuclear early site and facility design and drafting is an asset. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant3D is required; familiarity with SmartPlant3D/Smart, MicroStation, Navisworks Manage, and SolidWorks is a plus. Ability to incorporate changes from marked‑up engineering drawings into AutoCAD files.ASME code knowledge is considered an asset. Proficient in equipment and piping modeling; ability to interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping&Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) for accurate design implementation. 3D piping model development expertise and skill in model review and clash resolution, coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical teams. Demonstrated team orientation and the ability to work well with others, promoting a positive work environment.Consistent on‑site presence required; may involve shift work based on operational needs.
