Job Description The Breakfast Cook contributes to the overall success of the culinary team by getting guests started each day with a hearty breakfast. The role is a short‑term contract between June 20 – August 22 (approx.), requiring the cook to remain at the Iron City Fishing Lodge for the full duration. All travel, accommodations, meals, snacks and beverages are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and cooking breakfast for guests at the site
Ensuring consistent quality of food preparation as per client requirements, including special dietary constraints
Operating, maintaining, cleaning, and sanitizing kitchen equipment safely
Complying with food safety regulations in accordance with the Food Safety Act
Completing all HACCP and production logs as required
Preparing adequate quantities of menu choices while meeting production quotas and budget guidelines
Performing end‑of‑shift cleaning, sweeping, and mopping of workstation
Receiving and storing all supplies (food, beverage, chemical, and paper/disposable)
Qualifications
Current Food Safe certificate (required)
Large‑scale camp cooking experience (required)
Red Seal or other certification (asset)
Experience in accurately producing weekly inventories
High standards in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
A self‑starter able to work in a fast‑paced environment with little or no supervision
Passion for the outdoors and commitment to the full duration of the work term at the lodge
Ability to successfully complete a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) level 3

Enjoy an excellent opportunity to experience the beauty of the Iron City Fishing Lodge, including use of all amenities (beach, kayaks, boats, motors, hiking trails, laundry facilities, etc.)
All travel, accommodations, meals, beverages and snacks are provided
2 days off each week
Work schedule: nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays may be required
Hourly wage starting at $18.50 per hour
Work Schedule And Remuneration The Breakfast Cook will remain at the lodge for the full duration of the contract between June 20– August 22 (approx.). All travel, accommodations, meals, beverages and snacks are provided. Wages are paid on an hourly basis with a starting rate of $18.50 per hour.
