Resident Heavy Equipment Technician (Muskoka Region), Lake Simcoe North Shore (Coldwater)

Overview Toromont Cat is looking for a Resident Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment to go directly to customer sites in the Muskoka Region and surrounding areas in a Toromont Service truck, providing superior service and product expertise to maintain high standards that ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner with integrity.

Job Type and Compensation Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: 43.31$ - 49.60$ per hour. The listed wage is just one component of our total rewards package, and eligibility to additional premiums may be available.

Typical Day / Daily Activities

Possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to get the job done right and on time.

Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety culture.

Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment and leverage top-tier technical skills.

Maintain quality workmanship to repair Caterpillar equipment within established time standards out in the field.

Maintain excellent communication and trusted customer relationships through regular on-site visits.

Must-Haves

Post-secondary education in a field related to heavy equipment mechanics, truck and coach mechanics, diesel engine mechanics or a related field.

Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience as a technician in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.

421A license (a valued asset).

A valid Driver’s License (DZ License preferred).
