Part-Time Grade 1 Teacher Cranbrook

Gordon Terrace Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Grade 1 Teacher in Cranbrook, BC. This temporary role is scheduled for afternoons Monday through Thursday and all day Fridays.

This position offers a unique opportunity for educators with primary-level teaching experience. The contract begins June 5, 2026, and runs through June 25, 2026, or until the return of the incumbent. Candidates must hold a BC Teacher Certification and have relevant formal training or experience to succeed in engaging students effectively.

Key Responsibilities:• Teach Grade 1 students during scheduled classes • Manage classroom activities and student engagement • Collaborate with staff for curriculum development • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress • Ensure a positive and safe learning environment

Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field • BC Teacher Certification preferred • Formal training at the primary education level • Teaching experience in similar roles • Must be available to work all specified hours
