Job Summary
Join Amrize as a Paving Superintendent and help construct what's next. You will oversee daily Asphalt Paving field operations, coordinate with owners and general contractors, and organize crews and sub‑contractors. The role ensures that contracts are completed safely, on time, and on budget while meeting specifications and customer expectations.Responsibilities
Review project contract documents and organize crews, materials, and schedule. Determine cost effectiveness of operations and lay‑out traffic control plans with third‑party traffic management. Attend job progress meetings to ensure compliance with contract specifications and quality standards.Consult with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to formulate estimates, manage contracts, and resolve issues. Order materials and deliveries for projects. Participate in rigorous job cost reviews and provide timely accounting information. Supervise subcontractor activities and coordinate activities between subcontractors and operations.Communicate safety, health, and environmental policies and promote a safety culture. Qualifications and Experience
Education: Diploma or equivalent from a college or technical school. Preferred fields of study include Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields. Required Work Experience: Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Training&Certifications
Asphalt Laydown or Asphalt Production certifications (asset). Additional Requirements
Good knowledge of paving, asphalt, and construction industry, including experience in a unionized environment. Proven team leadership. Ability to read, analyze and interpret plans, specifications, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Effective writing and presentation skills for communicating with managers, clients, customers, and the public.Strong analytical skills, including basic algebra and geometry, and problem‑solving ability. Excellent communication, negotiation, and change‑management skills. Independent thinker capable of working under pressure and stress. Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved PPE, including respirator requirements.Travel Requirements

Estimated annual salary range: $110,000 - $118,000, with bonus opportunity of up to 24% of base salary.
