Role Overview The Client Service Technician (CST) is responsible for transporting, delivering, and installing homecare equipment, including oxygen cylinders, to patients and institutions. The CST maintains safe vehicle operation and provides outstanding customer service while adhering to Air Liquide Home Healthcare Canada’s safety and quality practices. Location: Cranbrook, BC.
Responsibilities
Support team efforts by assisting other members to satisfy internal and external customers.
Comply with vehicle policies, highway rules, and regulations for safe gas supply and transportation.
Inspect the vehicle before and after use; document inspections and maintain a clean, well‑stocked vehicle with PPE and tools.
Deliver products on schedule and meet client needs.
Set up homecare equipment at patients’ homes, train new and existing clients, and respond to client requests.
Educate clients on equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting; conduct technical checks and review safety instructions.
Complete all required documentation for technical visits, including equipment exchanges and delivery records.
Perform preventative maintenance on medical equipment; troubleshoot malfunctions and manage downstream workflow when needed.
Carry out warehouse duties: stock shelves, ship and receive products, and clean and disinfect patient equipment.
Document client care and services with clear, accurate, and timely records.
Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with policy and regulations.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Continuously improve branch operations by understanding processes and participating in quality improvement activities.
Comply with certification requirements and recommend actions for needed credentials.
Provide after‑hour service through on‑call rotation.
Support regional respiratory therapists and other health professionals with remote patient assessment via teleconsultation, video conferencing, or telephone follow‑up.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure effective use of products and treatment.
Contribute to a safe working environment by attending safety meetings, encouraging safe practices, and reporting unsafe occurrences.
Ensure correct loading and unloading of vehicles, complying with safety and legislative requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
College Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed Practical Nurse or other allied health professional considered an asset.
Care Aid certification considered an asset.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
Basic computer and tablet skills.
Knowledge of use and maintenance of respiratory homecare equipment preferred.
Basic mechanical/repair skills.
2‑3 years of recent driving and delivery experience.
2‑3 years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
Clean and valid driver’s abstract.
