Maintain Caterpillar Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment and Expanded Mining Equipment in a field environment Set up, operate line boring equipment and measuring tools to complete the weld build up, fitting and related tasks Component rebuild and repair, weld, grind, re-machine bores, some ManufacturingPerform routine maintenance work Occasional work at heights and confined spaces Frequent bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting/pushing of up to 45 pounds without assistance Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes) Qualifications

Journeyperson Welder or Machinist Ticket with Interprovincial Certification Valid driver’s license (drivers abstract as a condition of offer) Proven line boring experience Strong welding aptitude: vertical, flat, and overhead test for both SMAW and FCAW, machining experience is beneficial Important Details

This position is based out of Cranbrook, BC on a 4x3 compressed shift Both Shop and Field work will be required A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site Access which includes Drug and Alcohol Screening, be fit tested and have the ability to wear a respirator Union Membership
