Temporary Position– 0.5 FTE Blended Learning Teacher: Grades 8/9 Generalist at North Shore Academy, North Vancouver. The role requires face‑to‑face instruction on campus, with the flexibility to support online learning environments. Preference will be given to candidates able to teach Grades 10‑12 elective courses.Key Responsibilities

Deliver face‑to‑face instruction in Grades 8/9 and support blended learning initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students to design and refine online curriculum and tutorials. Maintain an online classroom in a learning management system and provide assessment for learning (AFL) documentation.Qualifications

Training, certification, and/or direct experience teaching in an online learning (OL) environment. Experience, training, and education related to the design and instruction as a Generalist within an online learning environment at the secondary school level. Advanced skills in maintaining an online classroom in a learning management system.Advanced skills in supporting assessment for learning (AFL) assessment practices and documentation for students, parents, and educators. Experience developing and implementing online learning platforms within modern language portfolio tools (Brightspace, Zoom, Teams) to enhance student learning. Ability to work with and provide tutorial support for students online and in person.Ability to support students with course adaptations and I.E.P.s.
