The Assistant Professor in Health Care Management plays a central role in advancing the academic mission of the program through graduate‑level teaching, course development, student mentorship, and academic service. The position is responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction that supports student learning, professional development, and program learning outcomes within the Master of Health Care Management.In addition to teaching and curriculum development, the Assistant Professor contributes to scholarly or professional activity that aligns with the discipline and supports the ongoing relevance and rigor of the program. The role emphasizes excellence in teaching, meaningful engagement with students, and active participation in service activities that support the program, faculty, and broader academic community.The Master of Healthcare Management program invites applications for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. Position Requirements
Education and Experience
A Doctorate/Ph.D. in Health Administration, Health Care Management, Health Policy, Health Services Research, Public Health, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Studies, or a related discipline with a health systems, organizations, or policy focus. Teaching experience in the topics of Health Care Systems, Health and Health Care Organizations, Health Policy and Performance Measurement, Health Economics and Financing, Human Resources Management in Health Care, Technology Applications in Health Care, Accessibility and Equity in Health Care, and Health System Innovation.Related industry experience and expertise in health care systems, health services delivery, health administration, health policy, health system performance measurement, health economics and financing, health care organizational management, and applied health research to enhance student learning through real‑life scenarios, applied projects, and case‑based instruction.Previous teaching experience at the graduate level is a significant asset. Competencies
Highly self‑motivated and directed. Demonstrates effective prioritization and decision‑making in high‑pressure environments. Capable of handling diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities. Possesses strong presentation and interpersonal skills, influencing others with empathy and political acumen.Maintains a professional manner with tact, diplomacy, and discretion when dealing with colleagues and the public. Possesses creative problem‑solving abilities and exercises sound professional judgment, especially in handling confidential/sensitive matters.
