Role Summary We are seeking a Superintendent Electrician to join our team in the Lower Mainland.
Key Responsibilities
Initiate, coordinate, direct, and schedule site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
Assist with the optimization of mechanical and electrical design drawings.
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
Monitor the overall progress of the project and take corrective action where necessary.
Maintain a good working relationship with customers, consultants and subcontractors.
Prepare and review reports on progress, costs, materials used and adjust work schedules as required.
Assist with the commissioning process, building turnover and closeout documentation.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
A degree and/or related trade experience in Electrical and Instrumentation industrial installations.
10 years' experience in the construction industry working with contractors with relevant work experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and how they integrate with construction elements.
Be capable of reading and understanding Instrument, Electrical, and P&ID drawings.
Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.
A strong leader and problem-solver, able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.
Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques is required.
Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred).
Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020.
Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment.
Valid driver's licence.
Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction.
Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.
