The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 per hour. Job Summary
We are currently hiring for a Part‑time Registered Nurse to work in the Critical Care Unit at Surrey Memorial Hospital, serving CCU, ICU, Cardiac Step‑down, High Acuity, and CSICU patients. Benefits

Assesses patients and collects information from a variety of sources using observation, communication, data review and physical assessment, makes a nursing diagnosis, and determines appropriate nursing interventions. Collaborates with patients and families to develop the care plan, encouraging family participation and advocating for privacy, dignity and autonomy.Participates in the admission and discharge planning process, ensuring timely updates and effective coordination with the interprofessional team. Coordinates nursing care, prioritizes tasks, delegates to support staff, and makes referrals per established protocols. Collaborates with interprofessional team members to resolve issues and adjust care plans as needed.Teach patients and families illness prevention and health maintenance, assessing learning needs and demonstrating self‑care activities. Discusses referral information with patients and families and initiates referrals to appropriate agencies. Documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, interventions, outcomes and referrals according to procedures.Participates in committees, conferences and councils as assigned. Engages in research and quality improvement activities, identifying patient‑care issues and developing recommendations. Attends educational programs, sets learning goals and maintains current clinical competence. Provides feedback to management regarding patient‑care programs and policy tools.Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM. Completion of, or willingness to complete, the applicable postgraduate specialty nursing program. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Ability to conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and to provide appropriate nursing care.Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interprofessional team. Advocacy for person‑centered care and sensitivity to diverse cultures. Ability to integrate and evaluate data for effective problem solving. Capability to teach and instruct patients and families on health topics.Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Collaboration skills with interdisciplinary team.
