About the Opportunity
This position is offered through the Canada Summer Jobs program and is a great opportunity for students or youth looking to gain hands‑on experience in a professional, team‑based environment. The role involves supporting social media management, creating digital and print content, scheduling posts, and engaging with online audiences. You’ll also assist with campaign analysis, website updates, and the preparation of newsletters and promotional materials, while contributing to general team administration. Ideal for someone creative, organized, and familiar with social media platforms and tools such as Hootsuite and Monday.com. This role offers valuable, practical experience for those interested in marketing and communications, or administrative careers.Eligibility and Requirements
Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at start of employment A Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act Legally entitled to work according to BC legislation and regulation International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residentsJob Duties
Analyze post‑campaign performance and report on marketing and advertising metrics Manage social media accounts, including customer reviews and testimonials Assist in creating brochures, reports, newsletters, and other marketing materials Design graphic materials for digital platforms (social posts, posters, presentations, etc.)Write engaging social media captions Schedule and manage content across social media platforms Monitor email inboxes and social media channels; respond to comments and inquiries Update and maintain website content Prepare and distribute mass emails and newsletters Provide administrative support (file organization, intake forms, meeting coordination, minutes, invoice preparation)Use tools such as Hootsuite, Monday.com, and platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and YouTube Adapt to and utilize various technologies (e.g., Word, Excel, databases, and other software) Handle sensitive information with confidentiality Collaborate effectively in an office and team environment (experience considered an asset)Education
In pursuit of or holding a college diploma/University degree in a related field
