Warehouse Responsibilities

Determine method of shipment Schedule distribution of goods Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents Maintain internal record-keeping system Record shortages and reject damaged goods Route goods to appropriate storage areasPack goods to be shipped Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments Oversee loading and unloading of goods Supervise material handlers and helpers Credentials

Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) Certificate Narrow aisle forklift training Working at heights training Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate Computer and technology knowledge

Database software Inventory control software MS Outlook Equipment and machinery experience

Dollies and hand trucks Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts Transportation/travel information
