CAE is a global leader in training for civil aviation and defence and security. CAE is the prime contractor responsible for the NATO Flying Training in Canada’s (NFTC) program as well as the Future Air Crew Training (FACT) program in Moose Jaw, SK, that produces qualified military pilots for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and other global defence customers. CAE operates the NFTC base facilities, delivers the ground‑school classroom and simulator training, and supports the live flying training on a fleet of Beechcraft T‑6 (CT‑156 Harvard) trainer aircraft. The comprehensive academic, simulator and live flying training are integrated as part of this world‑class, turnkey training system.CAE in Moose Jaw: Join CAE in Moose Jaw, SK. The Aircraft Technician is responsible for conducting all servicing and maintenance tasks.
Schedule&Compensation
Monday to Friday: Day shift (7 AM – 3 PM) - Evening shift (3 PM – 11 PM)
Pay: Up to $43.96 per hour
All tooling provided on site
Clothing, work boots and safety glasses allowance provided
Expected hours: minimum 40 hours per week
Relocation support available
Responsibilities
Inspects, maintains, repairs, and tests aircraft systems.
Removes and replaces line‑replaceable units and components.
Performs specialty work in maintenance shops as required.
Interprets technical publications and diagrams.
Maintains tools and equipment required to perform primary duties.
Orders aircraft spare parts and materials.
Conducts flight line servicing operations.
Debriefs the Team Lead as required.
Carries out workplace inspections and clean‑ups.
Serves as Desk Controller.
Education
Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma (or equivalence– Canadian Forces AVN Technician).
Possession of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering License M or (M1/ M2 combined).
Experience
No less than 4 years of aircraft‑related experience.
Minimum 3 years of first‑ and second‑line maintenance activities.
Experience in life‑cycle support activities an asset.
Candidate Must
Have proven experience as a team player.
Have good oral and written communication skills.
Be able to work shifts; some travel required.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Have knowledge of aerospace design and maintenance practices.
Must be able to obtain a Reliability security clearance from the Government of Canada.
Must be eligible to work in Canada, either as a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or valid Work Permit.
Must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and obtain all necessary re‑transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
