Responsibilities

Supervise and co‑ordinate sales staff and cashiers.

Assign sales workers to duties and prepare work schedules.

Advertise and plan marketing activities.

Maintain specified inventory and order merchandise. Prepare a report regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters.

Hire and train or arrange for the training of new sales staff.

Maintain counter standards including replenishment and presentation of general appearance and cleanliness of department.

Maintain store standards including replenishment and presentation of general appearance and cleanliness of department.

Demonstrate the ability to highlight the features and benefits of merchandise in their area.

Assist customers with jewelry transactions of all types, including sales, trade‑ups, returns, special orders, and layaways.

Display a high degree of professionalism, both visually and verbally, at all times on the sales floor and when speaking on the phone.

Become familiar with commercial sector retail store sales events, merchandising practices, and implement best practices as feasible.

Provide outstanding customer service.
