Description
I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established Québec firm in the industrial automation space, looking for its next electrical engineer. It's a stable, technical, multidisciplinary environment where the engineer has real ownership of their projects and solid support to bring them across the finish line. The team is driven by a culture of collaboration, technical excellence and respect, and the project pipeline is gaining strong momentum after a quieter phase.Mission
You'll take technical ownership of industrial automation projects, from initial design through to sealed drawings. Validating control components, designing electrical distributions and panels, running load and short-circuit calculations, arc-flash analyses, selecting protection systems and ensuring code compliance: you're the technical authority who seals the deliverables. You'll mentor the in-house designers, work closely with PLC programmers and the other disciplines (mechanical, robotics, industrial IT), and step in during client commissioning when the project calls for it. Project durations range from a few weeks to over a year, often running in parallel, across diverse industrial contexts.Your profile
You hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, you're an OIQ member with your seal, and you bring at least five years of experience in industrial electrical design. You're proficient with electrical CAD software and comfortable with the PLC ecosystem. You can sign your plans autonomously, juggle multiple files at once and adapt to different industries. Beyond the technical, you're a strong team player, detail-oriented, with a natural ability to pass on what you know to junior designers. Fluent French and functional English for occasional contact with clients outside Québec. What's on offer A permanent role in the Greater Montreal area, in hybrid mode with genuine schedule flexibility. Compensation is competitive and aligned with experience, paired with a comprehensive benefits package and conditions that recognize the team's commitment on demanding projects. Target start in the coming weeks.Let's talk If you see yourself in this description and want to know more, reach out directly. I'll take the time to walk you through the opportunity before any introduction.
