Job Summary The Manager, Store Design Rollout within the Store Design team is responsible for supervising a project manager’s team while streamlining project workflows. The Manager, Store Design Rollout, is responsible for overseeing global store design rollout and ensuring the brand consistency of Groupe Dynamite’s design elements for the Garage and Dynamite brands.
Main Responsibilities
Team Leadership&Mentorship: Lead project managers and various consultants and provide guidance on AutoCAD standards, technical redlining, and departmental best practices.
Workflow Oversight: Manage the distribution of layout studies and projects across the team to ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met. Prepare overall projects’ schedule and ensure clear communication between all partners.
Design&Strategy: Lead preliminary code research and project schedule for high-priority locations as well as oversee the transition from schematic design to construction documentation.
Advanced Documentation: Review and approve store layouts and technical drawings for the team, ensuring strict adherence to Groupe Dynamite’s evolving design standards.
Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary design point of contact for internal teams (Leasing, Construction, Visual) to ensure seamless cross-functional integration.
External Coordination: Manage relationships with external architects and engineers. Lead the review of complete architectural sets and landlord approval packages.
Quality and Innovation: Drive the evolution of design prototypes and fixture standards; take a lead role in site walkthroughs to audit design integrity and troubleshoot field issues.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design.
7+ years of professional experience in retail design or architecture (showing a clear progression in responsibility).
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential for daily communication with local and international stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign) and SketchUp or other 3D modeling software is an asset.
Comprehensive understanding of construction documents, building codes, and shop drawing review processes.
Experience leading small teams, mentoring peers, or managing project workflows is highly preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to optimize team productivity.
Confident presentation skills and the ability to negotiate design solutions with cross-functional partners.
