Full-Stack Developer, Montreal

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Risk and Information Management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering critical business and technology initiatives by building scalable, high-quality applications using modern Java and Angular frameworks. You will be working alongside a dynamic, global team of developers and business stakeholders on a wide range of projects. This role demands technical depth, attention to detail, and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to work in an Agile environment.Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust full stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular. Translate business and functional requirements into clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies. Take ownership of application components, performing both backend and frontend development.Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and automated pipelines. Collaborate with team members across geographies to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing applications. Follow best practices for secure coding, code quality, and maintainability.Required Skills:

7–15 years of hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development. Strong understanding of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, etc.). Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. Proficient in test automation and writing unit/integration tests. Experiencewith Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence.Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and tools: Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. Familiar with object-oriented design patterns and modern software architecture principles. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work across global teams. Preferred Skills:

Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL; experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Experience with Camunda 7+ BPM engine is a strong plus. Knowledge of OAuth2 / OIDC security standards. Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging middleware. Experience working with Drools or other rules engines. Familiarity with Python scripting.Experience in component-based architecture and layered application design. Prior experience in the finance or legal operations domain is a plus.
