WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Senior Manager, Active Directory Services, you will assess, research, and analyze business and technical security infrastructure requirements to support and resolve systems issues within RBC’s Active Directory technology solution. You will partner with T&O projects, technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to provide application and technical system support, aiming to be recognized as a best‑in‑class service provider and partner of choice. Responsibilities

Planning, Delivery&Execution– ensure effective internal controls and deliver quality, timely service to the team. Change Enablement – partner with leadership to execute the overall change strategy. Relationship&Communication– serve as point of escalation and resolution for incidents and project related issues. Managerial Excellence – guide, coach, and mentor junior team members to drive optimal performance. Operate daily business functions for supported products and applications. Communicate and collaborate withstakeholders, partners, and vendors throughout the lifecycle.Facilitate meetings for technical design, decision making, and problem solving. Prepare and deliver presentations to business and technology partners and senior management. Resolve conflicts/issues and appropriately escalated others. Investigate urgent issues and convey valid business reasons for escalation.Support changes to processes and procedures, manage the knowledge base, and identify opportunities to streamline processes. Maintain accurate and current documentation of processes and update as necessary. Build and nurture strong relationships within the team and across the organization. Provide constructive feedback to improve overall team performance.Commit to quality and customer satisfaction in all job responsibilities. Serve as project leader when required, providing direction, expertise, and coaching to junior staff. Continuously enhance skills and knowledge across all business and information system aspects. Perform database/disaster recovery and performance tuning for system situations.Provide on‑call support for applications and servers for Severity 1 or 2 incidents. Projects and Initiatives

Consult on new initiatives, small to large, delivering innovative solutions. Assess, research, and analyze business and system needs; recommend technology solutions and designs. Lead technical specifications for small to medium projects, tracking issues and ensuring compliance with security and architecture documents.Collaborate with Project Manager to determine the best mix of development, integration, and third‑party solutions. Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate third‑party vendors and software via due diligence exercises. Organize and participate in walkthroughs of all technical specifications, programs, and unit test plans.Create detailed plans and accurate estimates for build, system testing, and implementation phases. Develop master distribution lists, implementation, and contingency plans, ensuring verification is performed. Manage joint development, testing, and implementation coordination. Qualifications

5+ years in a technical role with solid knowledge of RBC technical computer platforms. University or College Degree in Computer Science or related field. ITIL v3 Foundations, Operational Support&Analysis certification. Technical certification in an IT area. Strong technical writing and communication skills. Strong ability to manage client and stakeholder relations. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities. Sense of urgency with ability to shift tasks in high‑pressure environment.Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, Networking, PowerShell, Windows servers. Hands‑on experience with Windows 2008, 2012, 2016, DNS, networks, DMZs, firewalls, network security zones, and IPv6. In‑depth knowledge of Kerberos, NTLM, SSO, federation technologies, and three‑party management solutions.Strong knowledge of LDAP and ability to construct queries. Experience with LDS, LDAP, SPN, IP addressing, and AD replication. On‑call 24/7 rotation required. Nice to have: Java, HTML, C++. Benefits
