With more than 100 years of experience in the field of machine building and automation, we are working on tomorrow's intelligent production today.DESCRIPTION The Bilingual Technical Specialist is a multi‑functional technical resource responsible for product support, service activities, and application expertise across Phoenix Contact’s Marking&Installation portfolio—while also supporting the Portfolio of Cabinet Efficiency, Connectivity, Power Reliability and Automation. This role provides pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support, performs troubleshooting and testing, develops documentation, trains customers and partners, and collaborates closely withSales, Product Marketing, Quality, and suppliers.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Pre and Post Technical Support Provide technical support for all Phoenix Contact MI and ICS products Advise customers on product selection, application, and use. Deliver post‑sales support through phone, email, remote diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Test products to resolve technical inquiries and provide proof‑of‑concept evaluations.Analyze competitive products and recommend equivalent Phoenix Contact solutions. Document customer interactions in the CRM system. Maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors. Troubleshoot and test customer‑returned devices in the MI portfolio. Perform basic repairs, testing, and failure analysis.Create and maintain testing, analysis, and repair procedures. Work with global teams and suppliers on root‑cause analysis and corrective actions. Prepare reports including failure analysis and disposition letters. Coordinate product returns with Quality and logistics. Assist in creating documentation, guides, and customer resources.Provide product training to distributors, customers, and internal teams. Keep up to date on new technologies and industry trends. Qualify and develop leads for field sales. Support distributors with cross‑referencing and product recommendations. Coordinate with Sales and Product Marketing. Participate in meetings as required.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Electrical Engineering Technologist diploma, Electro‑Mechanical diploma, or equivalent. Experience with industrial automation, electrical/power systems. 1–2 years troubleshooting or technical support experience. Bilingual English/French strongly preferred. Ability to use electronic test equipment.Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic networking. Effective interpersonal and presentation skills. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift 20–25 lbs (demo products) and up to 50 lbs for MI equipment. Ability to travel to customer sites andby air.Valid driver’s license. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. Punctuality, adherence to company policies, and meeting participation.
