Health Care Aide (Milton)

Job Overview

This Client is 1 on 1, 7 days/week in Burlington/Milton On. The Client is 82 years old and recovering from a broken hip. Hours: 9am– 5pm. Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs Administer medications and monitor health status as directed by healthcare professionals Support meal preparation and feeding for residents or clientsMaintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning dutiesAssist with mobility and transfer of patients using proper techniques and heavy lifting when necessary Support patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments through specialized care approaches Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive careDocument patient observations and report any changes in condition promptly Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is preferred Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice care is highly desirable Knowledge of caregiving best practices including medication administration and safety protocolsFamiliarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning is advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively while maintaining patient dignity and safety Previous experience in healthcare settings that involve working closely with patients requiring specialized attention is a plusSenior care: 1 year (required) Education

Secondary School (preferred) Language

Filipino (required) Licence/Certification
