Management Development Program- Alberta Plumbing We are currently hiring full‑time Management Development Program Trainees.
EMCO Corporation is a leading national wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products to the construction industry, supporting residential, commercial and infrastructure initiatives across Canada.
Program Overview The Management Development Program is a 3.5 to 4‑year, full‑time, salaried position that provides comprehensive training across our business operations. Participants will cycle through four distinct phases, gaining experience in warehouse operations, customer service, procurement, account management, and leadership.
Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada for training; relocation assistance will be provided.
Program Outline&Responsibilities
Phase 1 (12 months)– Warehouse&Customer Service: Build product knowledge, handle logistics, customer service, order management, inventory, and basic financial statements.
Phase 2 (12 months)– Customer Relationships&Procurement: Manage customer issues, large projects, relationships, and quote materials based on blueprint drawings.
Phase 3 (15–18 months) – Account Management&Proactive Sales: Identify new business opportunities, sell products, negotiate contracts, and expand customer base.
Phase 4 (3 months)– Leadership&Operations: Lead a team, mentor others, run the business, develop leadership competencies, and set strategy.
Qualifications
University degree or college diploma– all disciplines considered.
Positive attitude and results‑oriented mindset.
Desire to continuously learn and grow.
Excellent leadership, customer service and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and high integrity.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong interest in sales.
Valid driver’s license.
Salary range: $52,500.
