Senior Software Engineer - saint-esprit (Saint-Esprit, Quebec)

Senior Engineer– Guidewire ClaimCenter (Contract) Number of positions: 1, 6‑month initial contract with potential extension. Location: Anywhere in Canada; candidate should be near a client office for two days per week onsite. Must be eligible to work in Canada. Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex application features, acting as the technical lead for medium-to-large initiatives. Collaborate with solution analysts and business stakeholders to produce technical designs that align with enterprise standards. Own the software development life cycle from user story decomposition and requirement review through to final delivery.Conduct peer code and design reviews, providing coaching to junior team members to maintain high-quality coding standards. Develop and configure software within existing enterprise platforms, managing dependencies across integrated systems and data. Ensure robust delivery through the creation and execution of automated tests and the enhancement of existing testing frameworks.Qualifications

At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in Guidewire application development, specifically on the Guidewire ClaimCenter. Experience with Guidewire Cloud (Mammoth version) preferred; Guidewire Certified (Associate or ACE) is a significant asset. Strong skills in GOSU, web services, and database management.Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence. Prior experience within the insurance industry is a major plus. Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Proven ability to foster teamwork. Education

Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Software Development or a related field.
