Senior Engineer- Guidewire ClaimCenter (Contract)

Number of positions 1, 6-month initial contract with potential extension. Location: anywhere in Canada, if close to an office of the client, 2d/w onsite. Must be eligible work in Canada. Looking to hire a Senior developer with strong Guidewire ClaimCenter. Operating within a Guidewire Cloud (Mammoth version) environment, you will develop, implement, and maintain a complex ecosystem of business applications. Agile framework experience is a must.Roles and responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of complex application features, acting as the technical lead for medium-to-large initiatives. Collaborate with solution analysts and business stakeholders to produce technical designs that align with enterprise standards. Manage the software development process from user story decomposition and requirement review through to final delivery.Conduct peer code and design reviews, providing coaching to junior team members to maintain high-quality coding standards. Develop and configure software within existing enterprise platforms, managing dependencies across integrated systems and data. Ensure robust delivery through the creation and execution of automated tests and the enhancement of existing testing frameworks.Must have skills/experience/qualifications:

At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in Guidewire application development specifically on the Guidewire platform, with a focus on ClaimCenter. Experience with Guidewire Cloud is highly preferred; being Guidewire Certified (Associate or ACE) is a significant asset. Robust skills in GOSU, web services, and database management. Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence is an asset.Previous experience within the Insurance industry is a major plus. Proven ability to foster teamwork, excellent analytical problem‑solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Education:

Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Software Development or a related field.
