Early Learning Assistant Teacher at Family Day, Markham

In this vital role, assistant teachers collaborate closely with E.C.E. teachers to foster a developmental program aligned with guidelines set by the Child Care and Early Years Act. You will support children’s growth through the High/Scope® educational approach and the Hanen Learning Language program. This position will leverage your skills in observation, assessment, and individualized programming for children, especially those with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:• Support High/Scope® curriculum implementation • Assist with lesson planning reflecting diverse needs • Participate in assessing children's progress • Provide individual plans for children with special needs • Communicate respectfully with families and colleagues

Requirements:• Experience in child care or educational settings • Knowledge of early childhood best practices • Standard First Aid and CPR, level C certification • Police Vulnerable Sector Check required • Available Monday to Friday, 7 am-6 pm
