To support true healing, we are committed to understanding these challenges, learning from Indigenous knowledge, and taking action together to improve safe and equitable health care for current and future generations.Who you are:You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courageYou are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standardYou are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skillsPosting Closing Date: EOD May 20thWhat we are looking for:As a Registered Nurse, you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for providing compassionate, patient and family centered emergency care.What you bring to the role:Current Certificate of Registration with the College of NursesCurrentBLS certification and motivation to complete your ACLS certification within 6 monthsMinimum 2 years of recent emergency department experienceCompletion of an accredited college Coronary Care 1 program or proof of demonstrated current enrollment or equivalent required, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hireRNAO membership is preferredCritical Care Certificate and/or ENC(C) is a definite assetTNCC and ENPC certification are highly recommendedExcellent physical assessment skills; Physical Assessment courses are an assetProficient computer skillsDemonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environmentDemonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independentlyWell developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skillsEvidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experienceDemonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standardsDemonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as requiredWork Schedule:The successful candidate must be available to work 4 twelve hour shifts in 6 weeks: Day, Evening, Nights with flexibility to cover additional shifts per availability as required.Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.Compensation:BAND JRange:$41.18 - $59.03Who we are:Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario’s leading community health care organizations and include Markham Stouffville Hospital, Uxbridge Hospital, and our Reactivation Care Centre.
