The Supervised Lead Therapist is responsible for assisting the supervising Sr. Behaviour Consultant/Behaviour Analyst (BCBA/RBA) with the implementation of assessments, program development and supervision of ABA treatment programs for youth and adults with dual-diagnosis, ASD, other developmental disabilities, or other learning and behaviour needs. The position also supports the supervision of the treatment team assigned to each client’s case to help ensure that MonarchHouse provides high-quality evidence-based services.
Job Type:
Part-time. Hourly.
Wage:
23.5 - 30/hr.
Work schedule:
Weekdays, evening sessions till 7:30PM in the Toronto (Central) and Markham area; Saturdays till 4PM.
Work setting:
Travel to the community is expected.
Take an inside look at what you will do each day
Prepare and conduct comprehensive (intensive) assessment and treatment sessions in the community
Provides support based on client, clinic and community needs—including direct implementation of programming as directed by BCBA/RBA as well as oversight of client programming with support from BCBA/RBA.
Collect and graph data
Maintain client data and materials
Treatment integrity
Maintain daily written communication logs with family and other staff
Demonstrate therapy sessions to families and other professionals as required
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
Uphold Centre policies and procedures
Attend training sessions, workshops, online courses, etc. as set out by Monarch House
Here is what you will need to be successful
Experience working with individuals with complex special needs—including assessment and treatment of aggression and self-injury
Experience with Safety Care or Non-Violent crisis intervention
Available for hourly shifts that can build to full time
Available at the above times (but may not be scheduled for all)
A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
