Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Junior Civil CAD Design Technologist to join our team in the Markham office. This is a full‑time position based in Markham with occasional collaboration with our Kitchener and Niagara offices.

What You’ll Do

Prepare project drawings by interpreting design information provided by engineers and senior designers for road reconstruction and linear infrastructure projects.

Perform resident inspection and surveys as required.

Deliver production work in accordance with company technical and operating procedures.

Provide support to other team members.

Deliver projects on budget and within identified schedules.

Engage in a collaborative work environment with your team and other disciplines/offices.

Health&Safety Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures within a COR‑registered environment.

Follow all safety and non‑safety rules and regulations.

Review and adhere to AE’s health and safety, environmental, and quality standards; operating procedures; and policies.

Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment.

Enforce safety rules and correct unsafe acts or conditions.

Report all accidents and/or incidents and unsafe conditions or behavior to the supervisor immediately.

Respond to or delegate responsibility immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects, or non‑compliance issues.

In addition to the above, the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health&Safety Act.

Does this sound like you?

Diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited post‑secondary institution.

Certification with OACETT (C.E.T. or C.Tech.) is an asset.

Experience with computer‑aided drafting software is an asset (Civil3D, AutoCAD, etc.).

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
