York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a YRES Event Assistant - someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.Volunteers will help create a welcoming and organized experience for guests, presenters, sponsors, and award recipients throughout the event. Responsibilities

Arriving independently to the event on time and in professional attire Assisting with event set-up and clean-up Helping decorate and prepare the venue Confidently greeting and directing guests upon arrival Assisting guests with seating and audience flow Supporting backstage operations and presenter coordinationHelping distribute refreshments and snacks during intermission Assisting with photobooth set-up and group photos Supporting award ceremony logistics and transitions Providing feedback on the event Location
