To support true healing, we are committed to understanding these challenges, learning from Indigenous knowledge, and taking action together to improve safe and equitable health care for current and future generations.Who you are:You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courageYou are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standardYou are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skillsClosing Date: May 13th, 2026What we are looking for:As a Surgical System Technician you will provide support in Endoscope Reprocessing while working closely with all members of the inter-professional team.Responsibilities will include:Stocking and verification of consumable and reusable supplies in sterile storage area, procedure rooms and anaesthesia cartsOrdering and checking procedural case cartsOrdering and maintaining departmental general supplies and linenAssisting the staff in preparation of procedure rooms between cases (turnover)Assembly and preparation of specialized equipment and supplies for procedures and assist with the disassembly after proceduresHandling of sterile and high level disinfected supplies and equipmentReprocessing of endoscopes and general surgical instrumentsOperating AER, and maintaining reprocessing standards of endoscopesWorking and adhering to standards for work within a sterile environmentWhat you bring to the role:Graduate of a Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) program at a recognized College or MDRD certification with recent experience in a MDRD and appropriate recertification (every 5 years)Recent experience in a MDRD setting is an assetEndoscope reprocessing certificate,from a recognized endoscopy vendor, within the last 5 years is an assetRecent Endoscope reprocessing experience is preferredMembership with MDRAO is an assetDemonstrated knowledge of surgical instrumentation, reprocessing equipment, and sterile techniqueExcellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interprofessional teamExcellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritizeAbility to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment requiring minimal supervisionAbility to work weekday, evening and weekend day shiftsExperience withcomputers would be an assetDemonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain this same standardDemonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families etc) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliancewith hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.Work Schedule:Work Shift/ScheduleThe successful candidate will be available to work primarily 8 hour day shifts; Monday to Friday.Please note schedules may changedue to operational needs.Compensation:CU03Range:$28.46 - $30.81Who we are:Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario’s leading community healthcare organizations.
