Production Machine Operator– Added Value Line (Polishing&Sandblasting)
Starting at 25$/H
Day&Night Shift– St-Hubert, Quebec
Day: Monday-Friday 5:30am–4:00PM
Night: Monday-Thursday 5:30PM-5:30AM

Position Summary Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Machine Operator– Added Value Line is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of polishing and sandblasting equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain specialized finishing machinery used to enhance product appearance and quality.
The selected candidate must be flexible to train and work on day or night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Operate polishing and sandblasting equipment with precision to meet production targets and quality specifications.
Set up machines according to product requirements, including tooling changes, calibration, and parameter adjustments.
Monitor production processes to ensure consistent finish quality and adherence to standards.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed.
Use measuring tools and visual inspection techniques to verify product quality and surface finish.
Accurately complete daily production reports, including output, downtime, and quality tracking.
Safely handle materials and operate lifting devices (hoists, etc.) when required for machine operation or maintenance.
Identify and communicate product defects, process deviations, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, particularly in dust-intensive areas like sandblasting.
Follow all health&safety procedures, including proper use of PPE (respirators, eye protection, hearing protection, etc.).
Collaborate with team members, including general laborers and other operators, to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and safety.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (experience with finishing processes such as polishing or sandblasting is an asset).
Strong mechanical aptitude; industrial mechanic knowledge is an asset.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform basic mechanical adjustments/repairs.
Comfortable working with tools, gauges, and measuring devices.
High attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions (dust, noise, standing for extended periods).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
