What are your contributions to the team?

Opportunities to work with a dynamic and multidisciplinary engineering team, responsible for the technical support for Bombardier experimental system&structural rigs as well as Flight test vehicle outfitting.

During your internship, you will contribute to:

Participate in the design, fabrication and commissioning phases of active projects in collaboration with Senior electrical engineer.

Perform design work and oversee the creation of detailed drawings from external drafting service providers.

Assist in the deployment of a new software module used to organize the requirements and equipment needed to satisfy testing needs.

Support the development and deployment of continuous improvement activities related to BEX masterplan.

During your internship, you will learn:

The use and application of instrumentation and equipment used in an experimental test environment and how to compile information.

Knowledge in the selection, installation and validation of industrial controls such as PLCs, AC/Servo Drives and Automation programming.

Knowledge of design and drafting software in the field of electrical engineering.

How to thrive in this role?

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and have completed at least 2 years.

Knowledge or strong interest in design software such as AutoCad, E-Plan, and knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint&Excel.

Functional knowledge in the use and structure of databases and common programming languages such as LabView, C++ and Visual Basic.

Strong interest in aerospace industry.

Excellent communication skills and good judgment.

Proven track record in team collaboration.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Effective in both French and English (written and spoken).

Location: Marcel‑Laurin Plant 1

Duration: 8 months

Flexible workplace– Hybrid

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
