Journeyman Millwright, International Border Region (Cardston)

Amrize is looking for a Journeyman Millwright for our Exshaw, AB Cement Plant. Millwrights ensure both breakdown and planned maintenance on a variety of equipment, completed efficiently, safely, and in an environmentally friendly manner. This position is offered as a 12‑month maternity leave coverage contract with a possibility of extension.What you’ll accomplish

Troubleshoot problems and identify root causes Inspect and test equipment, making appropriate decisions Operate light mobile equipment, motorized manlifts, and overhead cranes Use PPW, adding comments at the end of each shift Communicate, improve, and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environmentsPromote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors What we’re looking for

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent Work Experience:

Experience working with large industrial equipment Training/Certifications:

Valid Millwright Journeyman Red Seal ticket Additional Requirements:

Own and maintain a complete set of hand tools required by the trade Basic computer skills Competent operating a motor vehicle Ability to work as part of a team and independently Reliability and dependability Successfully passing a physical, D&A, and criminal background check Capacity to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme environments (heat, cold, dust, etc.) Shift work as required Adhere to all safety protocols and use Amrize‑approved PPE, including respirators For respirator wearers, be clean shaven where the seal contacts the face for fit tests
