Livingstone Colony School

Livingstone Colony School is located 34 km west of Pincher Creek and 28 km east of the Crowsnest Pass and is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta. The school serves grades 1–9 with approximately 29 students and the contract will commence on August 25, 2026.

Responsibilities&Expectations We are looking for a teacher who can:

Teach the Alberta curriculum with appropriate educational training and experience.

Use outcomes‑based assessment practices.

Apply current best practices in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team.

Build relationships with students to create a safe, caring, and welcoming learning environment.

Communicate regularly with parents and support home beyond report cards.

Manage the classroom with strong organizational skills.

Develop multiple assessment types (portfolios, projects, traditional assessments).

Work effectively with an ethnically diverse student group, including Hutterite Colony students.

Support students with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, or curricular needs.

Teach English Language Learners.

Qualifications

Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for the same.

Salary Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
