Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Silent‑Aire) What You Will Do

Design and optimize assembly lines and manufacturing processes, including line layouts, line balancing, takt times, cell design, standard work, and documentation. Prepare production setups: BOMs, fabrication parts, consumables, task lists, subassemblies; manage procurement documentation and change requests (ECRs).Ensure compliance with Alberta and Canadian Occupational Health and Safety guidelines; lead safety feature implementation and guarding design. Act as liaison between engineering and production to ensure effective knowledge transfer and documentation handover. Lead project planning and execution for line changes or new line installations, including safety considerations, scheduling, and drawing distribution.Oversee assembly line layouts, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Quality (QC), Production, and EHS to implement standard work procedures, process validations, and data‑driven quality improvements. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on product feasibility, design calculations, ROI analysis, and scaling of improvements.Lead major initiatives such as factory tests, prototype testing, and pilot runs; document lessons learned and scale to production. Manage procurement, pricing, and documentation accuracy; coordinate with planning for time trials and production scheduling. Analyze data to identify performance gaps; recommend and implement solutions; monitor KPIs (OEE, cycle time, defect rates, downtime) and report to leadership.Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and coordination records; communicate effectively across all levels via phone, email, and in‑person. Collaborate with automation/controls vendors to specify and implement automated equipment and processes; participate in design, commissioning, FAT/SAT, safety integration, and performance monitoring.Perform other duties as required. Qualifications

6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles focusing on assembly or operations support. Strong understanding of engineering principles, problem‑solving and analytical skills. Experience with assembly processes, process development, debugging, and lean manufacturing concepts (kaizen, standard work).Proficiency in applying mathematical methods to engineering problems; ability to develop and compare alternative solutions. Excellent time‑management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource‑management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non‑engineering stakeholders.Knowledge of Canadian engineering standards and relevant codes. Willingness to work in a shop environment with strict safety adherence. Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) from APEGA or eligibility to apply (preferred). Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred).Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience guiding cross‑functional teams. Experience leading assembly or production initiatives from concept through to production handover. Experience with supplier/vendor management and developing ROI/business cases for manufacturing improvements. Knowledge of MES/ERP interfaces, data analytics, and digital tools for monitoring production.About You
