Overview
Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls, designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. This 3rdYear Electrical Apprentice position is based at the Nisku facility and requires reliable transportation for commuting. The role is scheduled Monday to Thursday night shift (6PM–5:30AM). The successful candidate will work with a team of experienced electricians to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and control panels in a fast‑paced, high‑technology environment.Roles&Responsibilities
Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and various control components and devices. Construct and fabricate control panels and perform rough‑in and finish wiring and control systems. Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check‑out. Install system components and wiring in compliance with the NEC, NESC, NFPA, and UFC standards.Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and control devices. Provide material take‑offs for electrical facilities equipment requirements. Propose and implement changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of system plans and specifications for facilities.Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects. Test installed/repaired/modified equipment for proper performance. Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work. Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation. Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues.Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules. Perform all duties in accordance with Silent‑Aire safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code. Perform other duties as assigned. Registered as an apprentice electrician in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. Ability to work under the supervision of journeyman electricians and as part of a team, as well as independently in a busy environment. Experience with routine electrical maintenance operations is an asset.Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and communication in a diverse work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced setting. Strong attention to detail.
